SBB on your phone
SBB works in your phone's browser, and it installs like any other app: its own icon on your home screen, full screen, and it keeps working when the connection drops.
Install the app
On Android (Chrome): open SBB, tap your initial at the top right, then Install the app. Chrome may also offer Install at the bottom of the screen on its own.
On an iPhone or iPad (Safari):
- Open SBB in Safari.
- Tap Share — the square with an arrow, at the bottom of the screen (at the top on an iPad).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
Tapping Install the app under your initial on an iPhone shows these same steps.
Once installed, SBB opens straight into your books. If you are signed out, it opens the sign-in page.
Getting around
| Where | What is there |
|---|---|
| Top bar | The menu (every page), your business name (tap to switch business), Search, ⋯ and your initial |
| ⋯ | The buttons for the page you are on — Export CSV, Print, Share, Transfer and so on — with their names |
| Bottom bar | Home, Sell, +, Money and Kiongozi |
| Your initial | Notifications, Install the app, Refer & earn, Settings, the full dashboard and sign out |
If you have taken Sell out of your sidebar in Settings, the bottom bar shows Invoices in its place.
+ opens the form straight away: a sale at the till, money in, money out, an invoice, a product or a customer.
The bottom bar moves out of the way while you type, so the keyboard has the room.
Shortcuts on the app icon
Press and hold the SBB icon on your home screen for:
- Sell — the till
- Money in — record a payment you received
- Invoice — start a new invoice
- Kiongozi — ask a question
Kiongozi on a phone
Tap Kiongozi in the bottom bar. The keyboard only opens when you tap the question box, so you can read your last answer first. Long account numbers and links wrap to fit the screen, and tables scroll sideways inside their own box. See Kiongozi in Light.
Without a connection
- Pages you have opened before open from your phone, with a note at the top saying you are offline.
- The till works from the first time you open the app.
- Anything you record waits on your phone and sends itself when you are back online. The note at the top says how many entries are waiting.
- A page you have never opened cannot be shown offline. SBB says so, with buttons to try again, go home or open the till.
Sharing a phone
If more than one person uses the same phone, sign out when you finish. SBB keeps its offline copy of your books under your own sign-in, and the next person cannot open it.
