Going live
Everything you did in the test environment has to be done again in production. They share nothing.
A device enrolled for the sandbox will not work in production
Separate portals, separate devices, separate keys. Pointing a test device at production simply fails, which is the safe direction — the dangerous one is having production credentials while still thinking you are testing.
What carries over, and what does not
| Carries over | |
|---|---|
| Commodity codes on products | Yes — the taxonomy is the same |
| Your keypair | No. Generate a new one |
| Device number (DSN) | No. Apply again |
| Thumbprint registration | No |
| Goods registration | No. Register the catalogue again |
| Anything you filed in testing | No, and that is the point — it was never real |
The order
- Apply for a device on the production portal, exactly as before
- Generate a fresh keypair — do not reuse the test one
- Upload the device public key, and check the Public Key ID is no longer
Default - Register the thumbprint and wait for approval
- In Smart Business Book, switch Environment to Production and enter the new TIN, DSN and key
- Test connection — all four checks
- Register your catalogue with URA again
- Issue one real invoice and check it in the portal before doing anything else
Step 8 is not optional
Watch one document all the way through — issued here, visible at URA, valid under Fiscal Document Validation. A mistake found on one invoice is an afternoon; the same mistake found on three hundred is a month.
Before you switch
- Is VAT registered right in your business settings? It decides whether documents go as invoices or receipts, and URA refuses the wrong one.
- Is your server's clock correct? EFRIS rejects requests whose timestamp has drifted.
- Is every product coded and registered? The readiness list will say.
After you switch
The EFRIS page shows Production in red, and says plainly that invoices sent from there are real fiscal documents. That banner is the only thing standing between a test and a filing, so read it before pressing anything.
Watch the queue for the first week. Anything unfiled is visible there with URA's own reason.
