Selling at the till

Sell in the sidebar is the till. It is built for the moment a customer is standing in front of you: the product grid is thumb-sized and the search box is always ready.

Ringing up a sale

  1. Find the product. Type in Search or scan…, tap a product in the grid, or tap the camera button and point it at a barcode. Pressing Enter when only one product matches adds it.
  2. Something not in the catalogue? Add a one-off item with its name and price.
  3. Money goes into — choose the account the payment lands in: the till's cash, mobile money, a bank account.
  4. Customer — leave it as Walk-in, or search your customers (and add a new one) to put the sale on their record.
  5. For cash, enter what they handed you and the till shows the change.
  6. Take the payment.

The till checks stock before payment, so a sale that would take a product below zero is stopped while you can still do something about it.

Split payments

Paid part in cash and part by mobile money? Tick the split option, choose the second account, and enter the amount on it. The second amount has to be more than zero and less than the total.

Tax

If your business is registered for EFRIS, the till shows the tax included in or before tax on the total, the same split the receipt will print. URA's fiscal number appears on screen once the sale is filed.

After the sale

A green strip confirms the receipt number, the total and any change. From it:

  • Print again — reprint the receipt.
  • WhatsApp receipt — sends the receipt to the customer's WhatsApp: every line, the total and URA's fiscal number when there is one. If you chose a customer with a saved phone number, the chat opens with them; otherwise pick the contact.
  • Open it — the sale's full record.
