Invoices and getting paid
Invoices is a sheet of every invoice, with filters for All, Overdue, Unpaid, Paid, Draft and Void, a date range, search, and a switch between currencies if you invoice in more than one.
The columns are Invoice, Customer, Issued, Due, Total, Paid, Balance, Status and Note (plus URA if you file with EFRIS). You can change the due date and the note right in the sheet — see Working in the sheets.
Writing an invoice
Press N, New in the top bar, or New invoice for … in search.
- Customer — choose one, or type a new name.
- Issued and Due dates, and the currency.
- Lines — the line grid is the page. Start typing a product and pick it from the list to fill its price, or type anything with your own price. Up to 50 lines.
- Tax — add a percentage if the invoice carries tax.
- Note — payment instructions, a thank-you, anything the customer should read.
Choose Issued or Draft, then Save invoice. A draft can be finished and issued later; Save draft keeps what you have without issuing it.
Opening an invoice
Click a row, or press Ctrl+Enter on it. The panel shows the total, what is paid, the balance, every line and every payment, with these actions:

| Record payment | Enter the amount and the account it arrived in. |
| Send on WhatsApp | Opens WhatsApp to the customer with the invoice written out — lines, total, what is paid, the balance and the due date — and a payment link while anything is owed. A paid invoice is sent as a thank-you. |
| Copy payment link | A link the customer can open to pay, valid for two weeks. |
| A clean A4 invoice with your letterhead — or save it as PDF from the print window. | |
| Edit / Duplicate | Change it, or start a new invoice from a copy. |
| Void | Cancels it but keeps it on the books with its number. You give a reason. |
| Delete | Removes a mistake entirely. |
WhatsApp opens with the customer's saved phone number, with your country code added to local numbers. If they have no number, WhatsApp lets you pick the contact.
Chasing what is overdue
Overdue invoices also appear on your Light home with a Remind on WhatsApp button each, and you can ask Kiongozi "Who owes me money?" for the whole picture, oldest first.
